Nitrous oxide sedation
Nitrous oxide provides gentle relaxation during your appointment. Delivered through a small nosepiece, it helps ease tension while keeping you awake, aware, and able to communicate. The calming effect begins quickly and fades soon after the nosepiece is removed, making it a helpful option for patients who want a smoother, low-stress visit.
What nitrous oxide helps with
• Creating a calmer experience for nervous patients
• Supporting comfort during longer appointments
• Helping children and adults feel more at ease
Why nitrous oxide matter
Dental anxiety is common. Nitrous oxide offers a safe, predictable way to feel more relaxed without lingering effects. You stay fully responsive and can return to most daily activities right after your appointment.
What happens during sedation
We place a small nosepiece that delivers a blend of nitrous oxide and oxygen. You’ll feel lighter, calmer, and more comfortable while we work. Once treatment is complete, the gas is turned off and replaced with oxygen until you’re fully clear-headed again.
